The End...

Today, Friday 3rd of July 2009, 10:21 AM. It’s the end. The end of all of my exams, loooovely teachers and the hot foreign students (read: hot Bulgarian boy, crazy Fausto from Portugal, my art-friend from Rumania, ‘skinny’-Jean from Germany and Daddy the dancer from Malta). In a way I’m gonna miss them.



But most of all, I want to dedicate this part of my blog to my amazing new friends Michelle & Lisa. It’s amazing how in such a short time people can become that important in your life. I don't know how this year would have been without them. We laughed until we cried and drank until we crawled on the floor. We’ve made such beautiful memories I will NEVER EVER forget. Even though we may split up next year, I know we will be forever.

And now, it’s summer! I have 2 months off! I can’t wait for the sun to come, let the good life begin! I don’t exactly know yet what I’m gonna do during the whole summer, but it’s sure that I’m going to work in a hospital for four weeks, hopefully record my first song and maybe book a last-minute to destination unknown. But most of all: spending time with my ‘old’ friends. During the year I’ve seen them only a few times, so I’ve missed them so damn much.

Well, I’m almost home after 2 hours spending in an ice-cold train, so I’m gonna say goodbye now. Hopefully I see you again next year hot Bulgarian, crazy Porto, art-friend, skinny-Jean and Daddy the dancer.. Chaooo guapos. xoxo

Contest for record deal

I've been writing own songs since I was 7 years old. What started out as a joke, became my biggest dedication and obsession. There's nothing in the world I love more than writing. Maybe sometimes, I love it more than friends, because friends are not always there when you need 'em, facing pen and paper are..


It was wednesday afternoon when I was surfing on the internet, eating my Ben & Jerry icecream. Accidently, I came by an article about a record company in Amsterdam. It said that they were searching for a new artist to sign, and all you had to do is writing and singing a text on a given melody. I told a good friend about it, and he said that I HAD to do it! There was no other option than participate. And he was right. After almost 12 years of songwriting, it's the right time to go to the next level.

The song I wrote is called 'Fair'. It's about a girl in a country who witnesses things we can't even imagine. A little little piece of my song:

Little June, little June...

It's June already, and basically right now my head is only into school things. In 2 weeks I have my final exams, which I really need to pass!! I just handed in my 2 final reports for my English and Writing Skills class. Very very very busy.

Today I bought A4-format photopaper, and I'm going to try it on my photo's.. I'll show you the results in some time..
But I guess all these bla bla bla's is not what you want to hear, so view my new photographs! I think they all look a little sad, but maybe that's what I am too today. :) Enjoy!

Daddy's Garden

My dad have always loved the garden. On a summer day, he's just a little kid. He spends all his time on taking care of his 'children' (a.k.a. the flowers) and on grass cutting. And me.. Well, I've always asked myself why. I really didn't understand the way he was so passionate about it.
But since I told you I bought a camera, I guess I've seen the light and I've found a new way of spending my free time..

I finally see the beauty of nature.

Camera

About 3 weeks ago, I finally bought a new camera!! And I'm in love with it!
After weeks of searching, testing and driving to thousands of shops in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, I'm happy to pronounce my spouse:


the Fujifilm S8100 fd camera.

It's always a little bit scary to buy a new camera, because you'll never really know what the quality of the pictures will be and if the vendors have spoken the truth. But I can recommend this camera to all of you!

I've already made splendid pictures of flowers, which colors are too beautiful and come extremely to their right. It also can shot vivid photographs of the dark sky with a bright moon and shiny stars.

Short: be warned, I carry it with my anyplace, anywhere, anytime...
